That my friend, is where we will have to agree to disagree. That is more of a personal opinion that I can't really argue.

I do agree with you though that if they were only going to sing those same songs, then they should have retired. However I do beleive that their songs can relate. Like I said about what I thought the general thesis was a few comments below, I think that can relate to most everyone.

Well then, i guess i just don't like the changes. But if 37-year-olds write their thoughts, no one can relate. Except for 37 year-olds...So yeah, they should've just retired. Or at least not have changed their music.

Tough bail, I mentioned the same thing on my comment in 'King'. Rivers and the band sing about what they are genuinly feeling during the times that they write the songs instead of the hot topics that I feel most of the newer bands write about. They have grown and have matured as a band, why would they sing about those same subjects when they don't actually feel that isolated or insecure.

This album was all about taking those same feelings that led to the insecurity and instead of pitying how they feel so different, they are embracing those differences and are boasting them. As for you comment about just writing music, that is all they are doing. They are expiermenting as they have also commented about the Red album. Expect different songs as Rivers is allowing more creativity now since he is happily married, songs that are different than craving some womans love. Again that was something that was quoted from Rivers himself.
Embrace the changes and appreciate the evolution

And plus, this album was too confident and boasty. Weezer is supposed to be a bunch of insecure nerds who felt like making music!

riverslostchild6, Your comment on the last video made everyone think you were annoying enough, Like andrew said, I don't see how someone can bail on them, but if you really dislike them that much, quit listening and quit posting. Tightyo99 had a perfect comment on the last video by the way.

This song actually sounds better live and acoustic. The lyrics aren't anything special, but you have to admire when a band like Weezer can go and make an acoustic recording of a very guitar heavy song sound so good. Two thumbs up.

some people's kids.

riverslostchild6, it's meant to be humorous, and you're terribly short-sighted if you can call this album "carelessly thrown together."

why is rivers reading off of a clip board? it's a good performance, though, i don't like that he's doing that. AND THIS ALBUM DOESNT SUCK! even tho most of you say that it does. it's great.
