I know this is from a daddy point of view but there are very few songs out there talking about a son. I'm the mommy and this song touches my heart. My son and baby is gonna be 14, loves football and skateboarding. So til i was a mommy too..............

this song made me cry..it reminds me of what my dad is missing. he died in a car accident when i was 5. and then my mom and brothers moved away but it makes me so sad of what my dad missed..he missed my first day of elementry school and he will soon be missing my 16th birthday and then me going off to college..adn he missed my brothers graduate and one of them went off to college..and is getting married soon and its going ot be hard when i get married because i dont have a dad to walk me down the isle..but yeah he is an awer singer tracy. and i love this song so much. you did a really good job

What a wonderful song, it made me cry as sit here with my 11 yr old son playing pS2 five feet away. He still wants to be in the same room with me, he is grown so fast and this song makes it all make sense. He hears me sniffle and checks to see if I'm ok. Oh I will be, I have a great kid!

This brought tears to my eyes the first time I heard it. What a beautiful song.
