i love how she put wonder bread in the song because back in the day wonder brean would "give you strengh" lol she is great but if the bible didnt mention "us" i could not have been deliah. the bible did mention her sho who is the mistress?

This song is a reference to the biblical history of Samson and Delilah. Samson was a man of tremendous strength which come from his long hair. Delilah was his lover who betrayed him by cutting his hair while he was asleep and thus allowing for his enemies to capture him.

This is song is great. I like depressing songs for some reason too. This is my favorite Regina Spektor song-- Samson loves her so much that it doesn't matter that she destroyed his hair ("he told me that I'd done alright, then kissed me till the morning light"), though the video's kinda weird.

omg regina spektor ia an awesome singer and almost met her cuz my bff is her cousin! and her songs r sooooooooooooooo meaningful that i cry everytime i hear her music!!!!!!!!!! i luv u REGINA!!!!!!!!!!
