acoustic is the word I think you're looking for there. I don't know. Seems a little preachy in a way that Springston didn't when he came out with Born in the USA. I just don't pair her uplifting little choruses with those verses that are just making you grimace. Its just really not what she does well. She is great at those choruses that really get into your head though. She could write a million albums like that and people would buy them. But just doing the album acoustic won't make her punchy happy choruses work with this material.
Love this song, nice and stripped down. I've been wishing this country would get out of its head...except I actually think too many out there are actually out of their MINDS.....I guess there is a difference between a head and a mind. Can't wait for the upcoming gig in NYC, go Sheryl!
