This song alway smakes me cry cause I love my dad so much and he is getting older and I am so afraid he is going to die on me. He is my best friend and I lost my mom about 1 year ago, and now if I lose him I feel I may break completely. I love you Luther, Take good care of my mom..xoxoxoxo Maria

My father left our family when I was 6 years old. We had no contact with him, so three years later, when I was nine, it was a bit of a shock to learn that he had died. I am 16 now so that was about 7 years ago. I miss him so much and the first time I heard this song it reminded me of him. I cry a little everytime I hear it. This one is for you Daddy.
