AOL: How did you find it when people tried to pigeonhole you into the Gospel category?

MICHELLE: Not all just "Oh, that's the Gospel girl," but it was "That's the quiet one." I don't even want to give it power, but [there's] "she's not the one that can sing, she's not cute, she's not pretty, she's not this, she's not that." I take [it] personally when you talk about my talent because I know God gifted me. That's why I really shouldn't worry about what people say, but I want to change perceptions. I'm not perfect. I don't have that crystal clear, pristine voice [that's] more radio friendly. I love my voice, I love the rasp. I'm hoarse right now -- I love it, and there are people out there that do, and there are people out there that don't. God bless you, you have your choices. That's why God gave us choices.
