AOL: Tell us about recording this album.

Caleb Followill: We kind of had a goal to record the way people weren't recording anymore. So, I mean, 'Aha' was live, and when we went into make this record, we were like, "We are not going in there and recording a live record." And we pretty much did record a live record. It's kind of hard ? once you put us all together, we'll be like, "All right, let's play, and then we're gonna get the drum track from this." But you end up using almost every bit of it and going back and tweaking background vocals, and using pedals on guitars. But yeah, we just had a ball making this record. It was the first record that we'd sit around and drink. We would do so much stuff besides the recording that when we actually went in there to record, it was like we were all ready.
