June 30 2012 at 6:55 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyRemember the controversy about white kids dancing to "Rock n' Roll"? Elvis gyrating his pelvis (& that being hidden from view during his Ed Sullivan performance)? Jim Morrison being told to change the lyrics to "Light My Fire" prior to The Doors' Ed Sullivan performance? The Rolling Stones being told to change their lyrics prior to their Sullivan performance? Jimi Hendrix orally playing his guitar? Bowie's androgyny? The controversy over John Lennon & Yoko Ono's "Bed-In" protest of war? Some people even objected to The Beatles long hair! Just to name a few attempts at censoring musical artists... This is just more of the same.
Artists are creative people; in any artistic endeavor they will seek not only to express themselves, but to express new ideas, to break boundaries. Inevitably, this will meet w/resistance & criticism. However, artists cannot flourish in a static environment, and I for one welcome their efforts in exploration. I also do not like living in a static, close-minded & intolerant world. I may not agree with all artists' ideas or like their performances/creations/productions, but I value their creativity & work as well as support their right to express their ideas. I hope all artists continue to explore & express themselves regardless of any attempts by intolerant people to censor them. Civilization cannot flourish w/o change--in the arts, in science, in general!

June 30 2012 at 12:27 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWow..GLory to G-d..I would imagine if G-d didn't want us to be just like we are, he would have created us all differently. We are not the ones who judge, and you all know that..yet you sit in judgement and say ridiculous and hurtful things. We are all people..just like politics are a difference, so is sexuality. People do not choose being gay, it is not an addiction, and it is not wrong. I will agree on one point..but first, I will say that I love Adam Lambert and think he is amazingly talented..but his first appearance after he won Idol cost him a lot. I was shocked, I did not like what he did...and knew right then and there that he had just made his life way more difficult than it had to be..Now I am not saying he whould sport his sexuality, but he is a public figure and in being so, you have to behave in a way that is not vulgar, which has nothing to do with not being gay..I think Adam wanted to come out and show the world that he had no limits..but he could have just let us know that he was gay..that is fine..and he should have then just been a performer..that first performance was such a disappointment, it had so much frenzy and craziness that it left people uncomfortable..and in private, all is fine, but on TV..not so much.

Did you think that by telling everyone that you were gay was going to give you the boost, to stardom? The gay agenda is a freak show, and it will end in the same fashion as Sodom and Gomorrah, remember your bible history? They were two ancient cities, where the majority of citizens were filled with all types of wickedness, people who had made the choice to give themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. This is a clear picture of denying that God exists, and disobeying Him. When people continue in any kind of sin, and unbelief, God will give them over to even more wicked and depraved sin in order to show them the futility and hopelessness of living life apart from the one who created you. Adam you had it all, and could have had all the success and riches of Elvis, and others, just by being yourself and doing what you did best, without the tag of being gay. If you want change, come out in public and announce that you have renounced your wrongs, I guarantee, that you will have the success that you once desired.

Do I think he is good , oh yes I think he sings fantastic. I am not a rocker and don't pretend to know what is best in that field, but I have to believe someone, regardless of sexual preference, that is this good should shoot to the top of the charts. Very talented young man.

June 30 2012 at 3:17 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyAdam's AMA performance of "For Your Entertainment = Career Suicide = Epic Fail = Ultimate cringe worthy. That is what I believe. I also believe he would be bigger than Clarkson and Underwood if it wasn't for that performance. I am a fan but, he will never recover from that. Proof? As good as "Trespassing" is, he will be lucky to sell 200,000 copies of it. From number 1 to what, 106 (I think) in a matter of 3 weeks? Pathetic.

Yes! I wholeheartedly agree. I am not a prude, but I feel that performance was just too much. However, I still love his voice. He should be on Broadway.
