Dec 30th 2010 12:09PM Full of naive optimism, I contacted Wells Fargo for a modification of my loan when my salary was cut 20%. That's when the nightmares began. Obama promised that banks would be forced to consider modifications and I qualified. However, I was not told that when you go through the process, the banks have the power to ruin your credit. I jumped through every hoop and did what I was supposed to do and paid what I was supposed to pay, only to be turned down and the balance owed due to a reduced monthly payment - sanctioned by the bank - due immediately. When I couldn't pay the balance immediately, they called everyday threatening me and finally foreclosed.

Obama is a joke and the banks are financial vampires. Don't promise help if you can't deliver.

Dec 20th 2010 7:29PM It's also snowing here in Chicago. It seems drivers get even crazier when the weather is terrible. I'd like to hide in my house until Spring, but I must work, so I guess I'll be risking my life going to a place I'd rather not go. Such is life.

Sep 10th 2010 7:38PM I don't mind an occasional hungry baby crying, but some parents seem to go into the "Xanax zone" when their kids start screaming. It never fails in grocery stores. Some kid will be crying up a lung, and you see the mother acting as if she doesn't even hear the brat. If you child is hungry, feed it. If she's in pain or needs a fresh diaper, do what you need to do. If your kids is throwing a 5-star tantrum, be a parent. I don't blame this restaurant for cracking down because some folks are poor excuses for parents.
