Philadelphia, PA: JULY 2, 2005 Members of the Dave Matthews Band perform on stage during LIVE 8 Saturday, July 2, 2005, on the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum on Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the Live 8 Concert series. The ten free concerts also scheduled Saturday in London, Moscow, Berlin, Rome, Tokyo, Toronto, Paris and Johannesburg, South Africa are aimed at raising awareness of poverty in developing countries days before G-8 leaders meet in Gleneagles, Scotland (June 6-9). Similar to Live Aid in 1985, Bob Geldof coordinated the 2005 Live 8 concert series, but aimed this time at creating awareness - not solely funds to support developing countries, most notably Africa.
