The Wild and Secret Life of Britney Spears

(Feb. 6) - The latest issue of Rolling Stone takes a look at how Britney Spears fell from the highest heights of pop stardom to tragic mess locked in a hospital ward.

The magazine describes a harrowing trip Spears took to the mall with her boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib. When the singer's black American Express was denied at a Betsey Johnson boutique, Spears freaked out and hurled expletives at the women working in the store, as well as innocent bystanders.

Despite having a second card work, Spears ran out of the store minus her purchases, with a growing audience chasing behind her.

When one brave fan dared to ask Spears for her autograph, Britney denied the girl, screaming "I don't want her talking to me!" at Ghalib. Get the Uncensored Version of the Mall Trip at Rolling Stone.

New insights from the article shed light on the pop singer's life.

Britney's Father:

In her early years, her father Jamie Spears -- currently the court ordered conservator of her and her estate -- was a drug addict, which took a toll on the singer.

"Jamie is clean now, but when Britney was growing up he was a horrible addict. She is the product of some very, very bad genetics," a former manager said.

When Britney shot to fame, the relationship with her father got worse. "It was upsetting for Britney to be around her dad. He came backstage one night and he was wasted. She was devastated," a friend told Rolling Stone.

Britney's Plastic Surgery:

The article also claims that Spears had breast implants while still a young star, and was hurt by the media's attack on her surgical decisions. She later removed the implants when she naturally became larger.

"She was crying in the bathtub uncontrollably, asking, 'Why is everyone being so mean to me?' It was very hurtful for her to go through something so private so publicly," another source said.

Justin Timberlake and Kevin Federline:

Britney found comfort from something in her life -- Justin Timberlake, but that, like her career, music choices and image, was controlled by her management. She was instructed to keep the relationship a secret and once it became public - a year after they began dating - they had to tell everyone they planned to wait for sex until marriage, even though they had already slept together. After allegedly cheating on Justin with a friend of the boybander's, the pair broke up and Britney began hooking up with a series of inappropriate men, including Colin Farrell, Fred Durst, her childhood friend Jason Alexander, with whom she had a 55-hour marriage and of course, Timberlake's backup dancer Kevin Federline.

K-Fed, according to the article, was revenge for Spears on her ex-boyfriend -- "Part of it was that she wanted to pimp Justin's dude, get his spot and throw it in Justin's face."

Madonna:

Spears shared an infamous kiss on stage with Madonna at the 2003 VMAs, and afterward became very attached.

"Britney and Madonna became friends after that performance, and she started to think she was Madonna."

The 2007 VMA Disaster:

Before the train wreck performance, Britney refused the help of Ken Paves, Jessica Simpsons' famed hair stylist, and wouldn't take the wardrobe department's advice to wear a corset dress, and instead chose the ill-fitting two piece underwear set.

Sam Lufti and Adnan Ghalib:

As her downward spiral continued, Britney kept letting more people into her life. She met her manager Osamah "Sam" Lufti at a Starbucks, when he told her he was working for Kevin Federline as a private detective.

Furthermore, she encountered her current boyfriend, the former paparazzo Ghalib, during a regular paparazzi chase. The two became inseparable and Ghalib and Lufti persist in their control over the singer, especially Lufti, who once invited X17 photographers over to show them a faked restraining order Britney had for Ghalib.

Incidentally, Britney's parents were successful in their attempt to have a restraining order placed on Lufti for him to stay away from their daughter.

Britney got too bog too fast too young ... look at where a lot of those childhood stars end up ...The difference is, most drop out of sight and stop trying to be something they are not and then there's ones like Brintey who insisted (at first) on making a spectacle of herself when she should have stepped down and away.People would have left her alone years ago if she had backed off and left everyone ELSE alone as well.

I'm sorry but most everyone today has disfunctional family member, and you don't see them running around not wearing any underwear and exposing themselves to the public. Brittiny Spears needs to grow up and think of her children for once instead of her selfish little self. Those boys need a mother that can be there to pick them up when they fall, not the other way around.

1. I'm am also tired of hearing about Britney.
2. Human nature makes us curious and wanting to know more, which is why we continue reading the latest about her, even though most of us are tired of it.
3. How can people have such hatred towards someone they don't even know?
4. How can people have such hatred towards someone who is obviously falling apart mentally at a very rapid pace?
5. Most mental disabilities don't appear until your mid 20's, which is exactly where Britney is.
6. All the drinking, drugs and abuse she has shown to her body will also take its toll on her mental disabilities.
7. Pregnancy also changes the chemical balance in your brain, of which she had two in a very short period of time.
8. Stress and depression also take a toll on the brain.
9. Don't people realize how truly sick she is right now mentally? Whether she brought it upon herself or not....how can you not be compassionate towards her? Why do so many people respond with hatred towards her?

gooangel, people living in trailer parks don't all own the property. They move in there because the rent is cheap, because they would rather spend their hard earned money on beer and other illicit drugs. Trailer parks have earned their reputation as the "white ghetto" because of what happens in those areas and the type of people who live there. Britney certainly fits the profile, as does the rest of her white trash family. Oh, and just because one doesn't live in a trailer, doesn't mean they are not trash. Looking at the comments here, I see more illiterate people than I can believe. Uneducated, ignorant, holier-than-thou hypocrites. No better than white trash living in Beverly Hills.
