As a former employee of Trinity Broadcasting Network in CA I saw Dottie and Reba many times. I am shocked and saddened. We know Dottie is with the Lord!

Well Dottie, you got to go home and the rest of us are still stuck here. We'll catch up with you later!

Dottie rests in the arms of Jesus today. She loved the Lord with all her heart, and went straight to her home in glory land. She wrote some of the most beautiful songs ever recorded in the gospel music industry. She suffered greatly in the physical sense, after botched surgery left her back in pitiful shape, but she never stopped worshiping the Lord through her very special musical gift. She was one of the most personable people I've ever seen appear on stage or television, was always comfortable and "at home" with her fellow musicians and the audience.
She will be greatly missed in her professional capacity, and by those who knew and loved her.

Aww that is sad! God bless her and her family during this difficult time.

Dottie was an acquaintance of mine. She and I met at a Gospel concert in the Florida Keys about ten years ago and we talked for quite some time about music, the Lord, etc. WONDERFUL human being and none of that overinflated ego business that you see alot of times with well known people. She was humble and warm, and I was just another musician and Christian to her. I had attended a concert and on another occasion, a songwriters workshop where she was also helping new people improve their music. I sing and play guitar, gospel and "clean" secular music ... alot of blues, country and original tunes. She didn't care that I was not well known. She was there to help everyone regardless of fame. We need more human beings in the world like her! I'll miss her ....
