Katharine's Album Cover

"I actually didn't pick the album cover. What I wanted was a bit more conservative. You pick your battles. Many people think it's suggestive, but really when you look at it, there's almost no skin, no crotch shot. I am completely covered, which makes it that much sexier."

'Over It' "It's a term that everyone uses, especially young girls. I didn't even realize just how much I used it. A lot of people will be able to relate to this song. This is really the only pure pop song on the record, so I thought it would be a good first single. It's not beating people over the head with the new Katharine. It's just a very sultry song about young love." " ![]()
'Each Other' "I love this song; I think it's so cool. I got to be there when we were creating it from the beginning. It was cool to hear it go from a basic track to a full-blown song. It reminds me of one of Mariah Carey's ... [big hits] back in the day. I just love the lyrics; my favorite goes, 'You're like a pillow I can hold on to.' This song just talks about how you adore someone." ![]()
'Love Story' "I was in the studio when the writers brought it in. I was so excited when they sent me an MP3 of the track. We immediately wanted it to have an old-school feel to it, but with more of a beat from today. It felt great right away ... and it really does have a great, old-school feel." ![]()
'Open Toes' "This was the second song I recorded, the first that was in the general direction of the genre we wanted to go in. I heard it and thought, 'This is what I like.' There was no demo for this song; we did it right on the spot. I really enjoyed watching the process, and I actually got to co-write, so I made it more personalized, like a girls'-night out. This is really the only dance song on the record. I call it 'cheesy in a good way' (which I can say because it's MY song). It's one of those songs, kind of like the 'Thong Song' -- its just fun." ![]()
