The Lost Trailers Have a New Number

Not many celebrities give out their cell phone numbers to fans. But The Lost Trailers do -- all in the name of their live show. The band is encouraging fans at their concerts to send song requests via text message to their 'Trailer Phone.'

"It's a mutual relationship," lead singer Ryder Lee tells GAC of their fans. "They're there for us, and we're there for them, and our set list is a reflection of that. So if a fan wants to hear something during a show, they can just send us a text at 615-708-9463, and we will add that song to the set list right then, because we have the phone on stage."

Keith Urban is Ready for Some Football

Keith Urban is in New York City, gearing up for football season. The country superstar joined R&B superstar Usher and British pop star Natasha Bedingfield at an NFL Kickoff press conference Wednesday. The three will perform today at a special NFL event in the city, just before the first regular season game takes place a few miles away at Giants Stadium, where the reigning Super Bowl champion New York Giants will take on the Washington Redskins.

Trace Adkins Performs for Troops

Trace Adkins has a no-nonsense attitude about the men and women who serve in this country's military. He supports them 100 percent, not just with words or songs like 'Arlington,' but in making trips to entertain the troops who are serving in various branches of the service.

Adkins will soon be headed to the Persian Gulf (protocol requires that specific dates not be announced) to perform for the soldiers as part of a USO/Armed Forces tour. The country crooner was never in the military and says he will always wonder what would have happened if he had made a different decision back when he was in college.

Martina McBride Enjoying the Great Outdoors

Martina McBride is enjoying being outdoors, both on and off the stage, while on her 'Waking Up Laughing' amphitheater tour. McBride brings bikes for her husband John and their three daughters on the road with them, so they can get some exercise, instead of being cooped up on the bus or in a hotel room.

"We ride most every day, even if it's just for a few minutes," McBride tells GAC. "Sometimes we put 'em in a van and try to find an actual bike trail, which is one of my favorite things to do on the road. We all go on the bike trails together. John pulls Ava (their youngest daughter) in a little wagon or carrier behind his bike, and it's really fun. But sometimes we just tool around the venue."

Bruce Springsteen Walks the Line at Nashville Show

As he's been doing throughout his 2008 tour, Bruce Springsteen tailored his set to the local crowd Thursday night at Nashville's Sommet Center. In front of an audience that included Amy Grant, Brooks & Dunn's Kix Brooks, Kim Carnes, Union Station dobro player Jerry Douglas and Bill Lloyd (ex of Foster & Lloyd), The Boss played for nearly three hours, performing 29 songs that included a verse of Johnny Cash's 'I Walk the Line' (a song he also did the night after Cash's death in September 2003).

Taking several cues from signs held up by concertgoers, Springsteen also covered a pair of songs he hasn't done regularly in nearly 30 years - 'Good Rockin' Tonight' and, as an intro to 'She's the One,' Bo Diddley's 'Mona.'

Tim McGraw Reveals Swampstock '08 Lineup

Tim McGraw heads back home to Rayville, Louisiana, on Saturday, September 13, to host Swampstock 2008. Net proceeds from this year's event will benefit local initiatives of McGraw and wife Faith Hill's Neighbor's Keeper Foundation.

"We are anxious to return this year with an amazing lineup of artists," says McGraw.

Those artists at the nightly concerts include Tim and Faith, Dierks Bentley, Halfway to Hazard and Jason Aldean.

Pat Green Knocked Out by a Flying Beer

Pat Green was coldcocked by a cold one at a concert Saturday in Michigan. The Texas crooner was performing at the Michigan International Speedway after the NASCAR Carfax 250 race. Toward the end of his show, he reportedly asked the audience, "Anyone got a beer?" A fan responded by throwing a cold can of beer on stage, hitting Green right between the eyes and knocking him out.

Paramedics treated Green at the race track. Luckily, he wasn't seriously injured.

Gary Allan Accidentally Ditches Crew Member

The notoriously unassuming Gary Allan doesn't demand his own tour bus. After more than a decade of success in the business, he still rides with his band and crew. He's just not responsible for keeping up with them.

"We lost one guy at a truck stop on the way back to Nashville, and we didn't realize we lost him till about a hundred miles out from home," Allan confesses to Dial-Global. "We'd left him like 800 miles out from home and he had hitched a ride with a trucker and headed to Nashville and caught up to us."

Jason Aldean Headlines CMT Tour

Jason Aldean has been tapped to headline the latest CMT (Country Music Television) tour, which kicks off October 8 at Western Carolina University in Cullohwee, NC.

"It is such a surreal feeling to look behind the bus and see semi trucks with my name on them," says Aldean. "Even as this thing grows, our fans are the same young kids that have always come out to the club shows. They come to forget about school or work or whatever and have a good time, so that's what we are going to give them!"

CMT on Tour '08 will also feature special guests Lady Antebellum and newcomer Eric Durrance in the opening slot on the 20-city trek.

LeAnn Rimes, Gretchen Wilson and Friends Sing for GOP

Next month's Republican National Convention will include performances by a host of country music stars. Minnesota Public Radio is reporting that LeAnn Rimes and the Bellamy Brothers will play at a special RNC concert on September 1, followed by a show with Gretchen Wilson, John Rich and Cowboy Troy on September 2. Charlie Daniels is also slated to perform at the Creative Coalition Gala Concert on September 3. And when Clay Walker takes the stage with a band called Capitol Offense, Republican concertgoers will surely recognize the bass player: former Presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee.

Carrie Underwood Talks Romo, Crawford and Dating Drama

Carrie Underwood still isn't downright admitting that she once dated Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. But she's certainly alluding to it.

The 25-year-old country superstar opens up about her love life in the September issue of Allure magazine. When asked about the nature of her relationship with Romo, who now dates Jessica Simpson, Underwood explains they were kindred spirits ... and are still in touch.

"We were both small town people doing very big things, and we relied on each other, dealing with fame," she tells Allure of Romo. "I don't know. The phone will ring and it'll be him, and I'll maybe not answer."

Kellie Pickler Flashed in South Dakota

Kellie Pickler saw a lot more of her fans than ever before at last week's 68th annual Sturgis Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. A lot more skin, that is.

The Rally, which features performances by a host of country and rock stars, also enjoys a reputation for rampant toplessness among women in the crowd. Kellie told Roanoke, Va., radio station WYYD she saw more than her share of flashed breasts.

"I lost count," said Pickler, who took the stage just before Kid Rock on Monday night. "When I went on ... it was dark, and I asked everybody if they were having a good time. Then the lights went on and panned the audience, and that's when I saw everyone for the first time. The first thing I saw was this naked girl sitting on someone's shoulders. I was like, 'Holy cow. We are not at a Brad Paisley show anymore!'"

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood To Duet . . . Eventually!

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are constantly asked by reporters and fans alike: When will you make an album of duets? The answer to that question depends on when the superstar couple is ready to hit the road again. They've decided they won't make an album together until they can go out on tour to support it. For now, they're concentrating on raising Brooks' three daughters.

"In ten years or so, we'll see if our children are on their own and doing great," Brooks told The Boot. "And then I'll see if Mrs. Yearwood isn't burned out and would like to go back out. I won't go back out without her, for sure. If we get a chance to go out and light it up one more time, then that would be a fantastic opportunity."

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert Plan Fall Tour

After playing a few shows together this summer, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, country music's hot couple of the moment, have decided they'll hit the road this fall for what promises to be one hot ticket.

"We spent a week in Nashville rehearsing the show, getting the lights ready," Shelton told the Toledo Blade newspaper. "It's going to be something like people haven't seen before."

Miranda agrees, telling the Toledo Free Press, "I think people will enjoy it, because besides Faith [Hill] and Tim [McGraw], there aren't a lot of couples who can go out there and do what we're doing. So we're really happy to be working together."

Chesney's Boston Show Scores Touchdown ... and Home Run

Concertgoers at Kenny Chesney's recent Poets and Pirates show in Boston were treated to guest vocals by some rather unlikely celebrities. Several hometown heroes showed up to party with Chesney and fans, and they felt so much at home they had to sing about it.

New England Patriots Teddy Bruschi, Mike Vrabel and Wes Welker, along with Boston Red Sox Mike Timlin, Tim Wakefield, Sean Casey and Jacoby Ellsbury joined in on Chesney's hit 'Back Where I Come From,' and later returned to rock the crowd with their rendition of the David Allan Coe hit 'You Never Even Called Me By My Name.'

"Those guys are so much a part of this town, to have them out here's an honor," said Chesney.
