NellyLoveTim: I'd love to work with Justin again in the future. He is incredibly gifted and can really write, sing and produce. He has wonderful ideas.
NellyLoveTim: I had the chance to create and write and sing and jam with him in the studio. it was so much fun. We may tour together next year.
AOLMusicTye: cool. We'll keep our fingers crossed ;)
AOLMusicTye: So, let's switch gears a little bit
AOLMusicTye: you had a kid a couple years ago, right?
NellyLoveTim: i have a beautiful daughter named Nevis. she will be turning three in September.
NellyLoveTim: I have toured around the world with her and it has been so enriching (and a little hectic!) for both of us.
AOLMusicTye: how has she changed you and your approach to music?
NellyLoveTim: Being a mother makes me so strong on so many levels. I am more assertive, more emotional, (which has helped my songwriting), and also more professional about my job.
NellyLoveTim: We had a lot of fun in Miami in South Beach during my days recording, before i would hit the studio at night. It was a sleep-deprived, but lovely time.
NellyLoveTim: this album has an energetic, youthful feel to it, and I think that is because when you have a child, you get down on the ground with the 'lego' and feel, touch and see life again from a different angle. I feel very rejuvenated.
AOLMusicTye: what song of yours does she like best?
NellyLoveTim: she likes the song 'Say It Right'
AOLMusicTye: cool. one of our faves too. :)
NellyLoveTim: thanks
AOLMusicTye: so, what's next for you?
NellyLoveTim: well i will be heading to Australia and Japan in August, USA and Canada in July, and I'll tour everywhere fall, winter and next year too....I can't wait.
NellyLoveTim: I have some great ideas for the live show!!!!!
AOLMusicTye: rumor is you have a film coming up?
NellyLoveTim: no, i had to cancel the movie. i was too busy promoting 'Loose'
AOLMusicTye: awww. too bad
NellyLoveTim: but I act in my spare time as a hobby...just lessons and stuff.
AOLMusicTye: Yeah? How's that going?
NellyLoveTim: It is really difficult!! you have to approach it with total abandon. Yet, learning new things helps me grow as a person.
AOLMusicTye: cool. we'll keep our eyes open for you on the big screen in the future.
AOLMusicTye: ok, last thing.
AOLMusicTye: we heard your cover of Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy.'
AOLMusicTye: and love it!
NellyLoveTim: thanks so much.
AOLMusicTye: what made you want to out your spin on such a hot, current song
NellyLoveTim: When I heard that song, I flipped out...it really drew me in.
NellyLoveTim: I covered it on this radio one show (bbc) in London and then my fans heard it on the internet and it has become this underground thing now...so cool!!!
NellyLoveTim: i plan to release more b-sides, acoustic versions and remixes of my songs, hopefully this christmas...
AOLMusicTye: awesome.
AOLMusicTye: what else are you digging right now?
NellyLoveTim: I love this artist from Canada called K'Naan.....he is originally from Somalia
NellyLoveTim: and i adore Bloc Party. cannot wait for their new cd
AOLMusicTye: ooh, us neither. We're expecting good things
NellyLoveTim: yeah!!
AOLMusicTye: ok, well I know you gotta fly
AOLMusicTye: but thanks so much for taking some time for us
