TornLetoya: Hey, It's LeToya, What's Up?
DonyaInMusic: hey, good to talk to you
DonyaInMusic: where are you chatting from right now?
TornLetoya: New York
DonyaInMusic: on a promo tour?
TornLetoya: Yes, for my album that is set to release on July 25th!
DonyaInMusic: How excited are you to finally have a solo project out?
TornLetoya: I'm very excited and blessed to have this second opportunity.
DonyaInMusic: I'm sure a lot of people were shocked that you could sing, since we never heard you on lead vocals before
DonyaInMusic: Have you gotten that response from people?
TornLetoya: Yes, I know :-)! In Destinys Child my role in the group was soprano.
DonyaInMusic: did you ever get frustrated at not being allowed to just go all out on lead?
TornLetoya: No, we never stepped on each others toes, we knew our roles.
DonyaInMusic: so, what was the moment or event that made you want to split from the group?
TornLetoya: That was their decision for me the split from the group.
DonyaInMusic: so what caused the rift amongst you guys?
DonyaInMusic: and how pissed were you to see some other chicks singing YOUR soprano in 'Say My Name'??
TornLetoya: It was a dispute between Lataiva, myself and Management. I wasn't so much pissed, I was surprised.
DonyaInMusic: I know I would've been heated! ;-)
DonyaInMusic: how is your relationship with the girls and the Knowles family now?
TornLetoya: I carry Beyonces' House of Dereon in my store, so we have a business relationship. Everything is cool.
DonyaInMusic: speaking of fashion...
DonyaInMusic: I know you must be happy to not have to wear those DC costumes anymore, right?
TornLetoya: They were fine for the time.
DonyaInMusic: that's a very nice way of putting it. Your mama raised you right :)
