KRNJonathanDavis: i got to spend 3 weeks with him, i miss him badly
    PeteInMusic: i hear ya
PeteInMusic: so where are you exactly right now?
    KRNJonathanDavis: hellsinki finland
PeteInMusic: i've always wanted to go there - so many good bands come from there
PeteInMusic: what are you up to over there?
KRNJonathanDavis: just played a killer show
PeteInMusic: awesome - how much new stuff did you play?
    KRNJonathanDavis: 1 new song...evolution
PeteInMusic: rumor is you just filmed the video for it, right?
KRNJonathanDavis: yes, 2 days ago in london
KRNJonathanDavis: basically its a video about the devolution of man
KRNJonathanDavis: showing there is no difference between humans and monkeys, the way we are violent territorial, etc.
PeteInMusic: what about the rest of the record - any common themes?
KRNJonathanDavis: no, pretty much all over the place
KRNJonathanDavis: a couple are about the fact i almost died in europe with this blood disorder
    PeteInMusic: i heard about that
PeteInMusic: so glad you're doing ok
    KRNJonathanDavis: thanks bro
KRNJonathanDavis: some heavy "out there" sh** also
PeteInMusic: are there any fears of the blood disorder returning? do you have to take medication or anything?
KRNJonathanDavis: no meds, looks like it was a freak thing
    KRNJonathanDavis: thank god
KRNJonathanDavis: i hope it never comes back
PeteInMusic: you've had some bad luck, man
PeteInMusic: i know you were in and out of the hospital a bunch when you were younger
PeteInMusic: somehow you always come out of it ok though
    KRNJonathanDavis: I'm a blessed man i guess
PeteInMusic: by the way, i'm a big horror movie fan
PeteInMusic: what's the latest on the movie you starred in, Sin-Jin Smyth
KRNJonathanDavis: i don't know, i hope it comes out
PeteInMusic: so you're saying it might not come out?!?
KRNJonathanDavis: i dont know what's up with it
PeteInMusic: how was the experience of playing the lead role of the bad guy in the film?
KRNJonathanDavis: it was f***in fun man
PeteInMusic: and Jenna Jameson was in it, right? did she play one of your victims?
    KRNJonathanDavis: not sure about that
    PeteInMusic: you can't say?
    KRNJonathanDavis: nope
PeteInMusic: so here's a fun random question:
PeteInMusic: who would you rather cast as one of your victims
PeteInMusic: paris hilton or lindsey lohan?
    KRNJonathanDavis: L L at least she's hot
    PeteInMusic: haha
    KRNJonathanDavis: and has an ass
PeteInMusic: yeah, i guess it's more fun if the victim in a movie is hot =)
    KRNJonathanDavis: yes sir
PeteInMusic: what's you're take on the whole paris hilton media frenzy right now?
PeteInMusic: with her in jail, etc
KRNJonathanDavis: stupid! just do your time and shut the f*** up
    PeteInMusic: i couldn't agree more
PeteInMusic: and what about the whole Cartel "band in a bubble" thing going on?
KRNJonathanDavis: well, i guess they need attention
PeteInMusic: would you have accepted an offer like that to get exposure when your band was first starting?
    KRNJonathanDavis: hell no
    PeteInMusic: haha i didn't think so =)
KRNJonathanDavis: i ain't livin in a bubble with my band
    KRNJonathanDavis: hehehe
PeteInMusic: speaking of random stuff, you were working on a video game called Pop Scars a few years back that never came out
KRNJonathanDavis: by the time it was ready to go the game company had to put their time into another game, so it kinda died
PeteInMusic: that must've pissed you off
PeteInMusic: ever want to get back into the whole video game development thing?
KRNJonathanDavis: yeah when i got the time to do it right
PeteInMusic: what games have you gotten your hands on lately?
    KRNJonathanDavis: just been playin wow
PeteInMusic: no kidding! I'd never think you'd be a World of Warcraft player
PeteInMusic: how many hours do you have into it?
KRNJonathanDavis: at least a year and a half
PeteInMusic: and you're still addicted, eh?
KRNJonathanDavis: not that bad, haven't played much
KRNJonathanDavis: been too buzy with the kids and record
PeteInMusic: is your oldest kid at the age where he's playing games yet?
    KRNJonathanDavis: yes he's 11
KRNJonathanDavis: into runescape and a lot of different games
    PeteInMusic: who's the better gamer?
    KRNJonathanDavis: me
PeteInMusic: you didn't have to think about that one =)
PeteInMusic: favorite game of all time?
KRNJonathanDavis: wow and halo, oh yeah and Zelda
PeteInMusic: so my next question is kinda cheesy, but i'm going to ask it anyway
    KRNJonathanDavis: k
PeteInMusic: with the "Family Values" tour
PeteInMusic: and you juggling the roles of front man in one of the biggest metal bands, as well as being the father of 3
PeteInMusic: what advice do you have for other guys in bands who are also trying to be a good dad?
KRNJonathanDavis: spend as much time as possible with your kids when you're home, always tell them that you love and miss them dearly, and call as much as possible to let them know you're thinking about them
KRNJonathanDavis: the parties and bullsh** like that have to wait til you're out on the road
    PeteInMusic: rock on
KRNJonathanDavis: plus spoiling the sh** out of them always helps
PeteInMusic: haha, what's the best way to spoil them?
    KRNJonathanDavis: love bro
    PeteInMusic: great answer
PeteInMusic: so your new album just "happens" to come out the same month a new book and CD comes out from your former band member Head
PeteInMusic: have you heard any of his music?
KRNJonathanDavis: nope i haven't, i know it will be good head is very talented
PeteInMusic: will you be reading his book?
    KRNJonathanDavis: of course
PeteInMusic: i wasn't sure if you guys still talked...
KRNJonathanDavis: i love the guy, he just needs to move on and stop badmouthing us thats all
KRNJonathanDavis: no we do not talk, I'm satan to him
    KRNJonathanDavis: heheheh
    PeteInMusic: =)
KRNJonathanDavis: but i do wish him the best
PeteInMusic: do you have any desire to ever do the book writing thing?
KRNJonathanDavis: i am doin a book
    PeteInMusic: oh yeah!?
PeteInMusic: what's the deal - give me the scoop
KRNJonathanDavis: but it's not a stupid book about how bad my life sucked or anything
KRNJonathanDavis: I'm sick of rockstar tell all books, that's lame
KRNJonathanDavis: this book is way kool, i chose 12 of my favorite horror stories and 12 of my favorite artists will illustrate them
KRNJonathanDavis: then I'm writing about why i think they are soo good, it will be a kool coffee table book
PeteInMusic: what's the book going to be called?
KRNJonathanDavis: don't know, still in the beginning stages
KRNJonathanDavis: plus I'm starting to write an opera with richard gibbs and clive barker and have stan winston design everything
    PeteInMusic: that sounds awesome!
PeteInMusic: is this opera something you'd star in?
KRNJonathanDavis: no i have to tour with korn
PeteInMusic: when you say writing for it, do you mean songs for the opera?
    KRNJonathanDavis: yes
PeteInMusic: how will it differ from Korn's music?
KRNJonathanDavis: its gonna be way different, it's an opera
PeteInMusic: like fat lady with a viking helmet opera? =)
    KRNJonathanDavis: no like dark opera
KRNJonathanDavis: it's called oblivion and it's about the end of the world
PeteInMusic: so it could be out soon while you're still touring with Korn then? or is this like 2008?
KRNJonathanDavis: we're just starting, don't know when it will be done
PeteInMusic: am i the first who's been told about this? i didn't see anything about this online
    KRNJonathanDavis: yep
    PeteInMusic: hell yeah!
PeteInMusic: back to your new album 'Untitled', what song from it are you most proud of for fans to hear?
KRNJonathanDavis: 'do what they say' is the best korn song ever
    PeteInMusic: that's a BOLD statement!
KRNJonathanDavis: dark slow and heavy, it's about not obeying rules
    PeteInMusic: simple enough =)
KRNJonathanDavis: there's alot going on with it lyrically
PeteInMusic: so if this is the best korn song ever, there must've been something heavy that inspired you?
    KRNJonathanDavis: i guess, not telling
    PeteInMusic: cool
PeteInMusic: well it's been an honor talking with you
    KRNJonathanDavis: you too bro
PeteInMusic: good luck with everything, can't wait to hear 'Untitled'
    KRNJonathanDavis: thank you
    PeteInMusic: later
