DonyaInMusic: Hi Janet!
JanetJackson20YO: Hi Donya - how are you?
DonyaInMusic: I'm great.
DonyaInMusic: I saw you on the Today show - you were fabulous!
JanetJackson20YO: Thank you very much
DonyaInMusic: Is all that choreography harder on your body now that you're a little older?
JanetJackson20YO: No it isn't, it actually feels good.
JanetJackson20YO: The only difference is that it actually feels physical -- it's a lot more physical then it was 20 years ago.
JanetJackson20YO: The kids feel it more than I do.
DonyaInMusic: I caught the video for 'Nasty' the other day and I completely forgot Paula Abdul was in it
DonyaInMusic: And I started wondering about the people who've gotten their start by working with you -- Paula, J-Lo
DonyaInMusic: Are you guys still in contact with each other?
JanetJackson20YO: No, we're not.
DonyaInMusic: Ok, well were you surprised at their success?
JanetJackson20YO: I was very surprised at Paula's success but at Jennifer's no because she told me she wanted to be an actress, so I let her out of her contract, wished her well, and everything she said she was going to do, she did.
DonyaInMusic: Good for you
DonyaInMusic: so glad you weren't a hater :)
DonyaInMusic: moving on to one of your favorite people...
DonyaInMusic: You and Jermaine have been very open about your relationship, but in the past you kept your marriage to Rene a secret.
DonyaInMusic: What made you want to be more open about your romance now?
JanetJackson20YO: A lot of marriages don't last and I wanted to just keep something for us.
JanetJackson20YO: With Jermaine -- it's really, truly something to celebrate.
JanetJackson20YO: The place that we are in our relationship and the joy and happiness he brings to my life - I really want to celebrate that....
