AOLMusicScottB: did you do any writing while you were in the army? or do you write in general (besides, songs of course)
AOLMusicScottB: and IM's
JamesBluntisHigh: I wrote a diary in Kosovo. When we got home, my boss asked to read it and then lost it. It covered an entire 6 months.
AOLMusicScottB: what a jackass
JamesBluntisHigh: I just called him "sir"
AOLMusicScottB: hahaha
AOLMusicScottB: were there times when you were there that you thought you were going to die?
AOLMusicScottB: like this is it, I'm not making it out of this one
JamesBluntisHigh: It was a war zone. Everything went on.
AOLMusicScottB: but i would imagine sometimes are scarier than others, no?
JamesBluntisHigh: There are moments of adrenalin. Responsibility dissolves fear.
AOLMusicScottB: man, you are a good seed.
JamesBluntisHigh: Thanks again
JamesBluntisHigh: It was much harder for people whose country it was.
AOLMusicScottB: would you have joined the army if it was today and your were going to iraq instead of Kosovo?
JamesBluntisHigh: I joined the army because they paid for my education
JamesBluntisHigh: I was unsure of the press angle in Kosovo
JamesBluntisHigh: and the politicians angle...
JamesBluntisHigh: But when we got in there, it was obvious that we were saving lives
JamesBluntisHigh: so it felt worthwhile.
JamesBluntisHigh: I haven't been to Iraq, so all I have to go on is press and politicians, and neither give a clear picture.
JamesBluntisHigh: No matter what your views, it may still be worth going so that you can be a voice of reason
JamesBluntisHigh: in a confused place
JamesBluntisHigh: As a soldier, you can still use your common sense.
AOLMusicScottB: wish more politicians would use theirs
JamesBluntisHigh: fat chance!
AOLMusicScottB: ha
