U.N.L.V. was the first group signed onto Cash Money Records, nationally more famous for artists such as the Hot Boyz, Juvenile, Baby Gangsta, Lil' Wayne and more. Along with Pimp Daddy, U.N.L.V. helped pioneer a new sound and style of hip-hop in New Orleans, and paved the way for CMR's many later successes. Their first album, 6th & Baronne, is considered to be a classic in Louisiana, although their major claim to fame is the track "Drag Em 'n' Tha River" from Uptown 4 Life where the group disses No Limit Records' rapper Mystikal through a lengthy song. ~ Brad Mills, All Music Guide
