Deviant Septet --an acclaimed ensemble modeled after Igor Stravinskys favored instrumentation of violin, bass, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, and percussion--will perform the NYC premiere of a new collaborative evening-length work entitled Histories, written by six-piece composer collective Sleeping Giant, on May 24th at Brooklyn's Issue Project Room. Bang on a Can takes over Alice Tully Hall presented by Lincoln Center's Great Performers series in a triple-bill birthday bash on Saturday, April 28 at 7pm featuring the Bang on a Can All-Stars, Asphalt Orchestra , and MIT's Gamelan Galak Tika.
