José González and Tinariwen to share live bill

Singer-songwriter José González will appear alongside Saharan band Tiniarwen at a joint concert, collaborating live at London's Shepherds Bush Empire on 3 May. The two rarely-seen acts will share a double bill coordinated by promoter SoundCrash Music, who incidentally are also hosting a three hour DJ set by Ninja Tune signing Bonobo on the other side of London just under a month later.

Mali-based Touareg guitar outfit Tinariwen just released their latest album, Tassili , on Anti- ; Four Tet 's Kieran Hebden has lent his magical remixing hands to a cut from that record, "Tenere Taqqim Tossam", which features contributions from TV on the Radio co-leaders Tunde Adebimpe and Kyp Malone.
