Three Finger Cowboy consists of four people having fun with rock & roll. They are partly Velvet Underground derivative and partly giddy on indie rock. A squeaky voiced pixie named Katherine McElroy (who sounds partly like Juliana Hatfield and partly like Moe Tucker) fronts the group as they romp through their material without fear of being cute -- they are proud, but not hard. Their fun frolic with rock instruments is about living a teen dream. Three Fingered Cowboy keep close to a pure, childish spirit. This band is a winner on all counts as the most fun bubblegum garage pop band out there. ~ Tom Schulte, All Music Guide
Alternative college rock has easily been one of the most overplayed genres since the mainstream success of Hootie and the Blowfish. But on the other hand, bands like Three Finger Cowboy reestablish the faith that all power pop doesn't sound like the downfall of the Goo Goo Dolls or Soul Asylum. Kissed provides an enjoyable presence of female-fronted, straightforward pop. Nothing groundbreaking, but the all around catchiness forgives any carbon copy moments. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
