The Traditionist is actually Huntington Beach, CA-based guitarist, singer, and songwriter Joey Barro, formerly of Budge and the Antiques, in solo guise. After releasing a pair of acoustic EPs and the full-length Nicknames and Natives under the Antiques name, Barro went with a slightly more stripped down sound for his next project (which actually began life as another Antiques album), produced by Tim Bluhm. Adopting the name the Traditionist, Barro released Season to Season on Better Looking Records in 2009. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
