What The Critics Say

A strong title song, austerely folkish, represented this short-lived duo at its best. ~ Mark A. Humphrey, All Music Guide

What The Critics Say

In the late 80's the O'Kanes offered a commercially viable update on a venerated country music tradition, the brother duo. Although the two members were not brothers, their close harmonies recalled the Everly Brothers, and their largely acoustic sound tied them to the music of the past despite their undeniable modernity and originality. After two excellent albums the O'Kanes released Imagine That, the most straightforward country album of their three, and the only one to fail to provide a Top 40 C&W hit. Imagine That doesn't differ radically from the two previous O'Kanes albums, but the material is weaker and the hypnotic quality that made the others so engaging is lacking here. ~ Greg Adams, All Music Guide

What The Critics Say

Introspective lyrics and occasional guitar/mandolin jams make an interesting concept from Music City before the "hat" proliferation of 1990. ~ Mark A. Humphrey, All Music Guide
