Hampden, ME's the Killing Moon is a five-piece rock quintet that boasts a dark sound with hints of screamo and brass backdrops played through effect pedals. Initially started as a side project, the young group consists of hometown friends Trevor Geaghan (bass), Ryan Hannan (vocals/guitar), Dan Lafayette (trombone), Chris Michaud (baritone sax/vocals), and Jeremy Yehle (drums). However, as the guys started to draw more people to local shows together than in their separate primary bands, the decision was made to make the Killing Moon their full-time gig. Signing to Fearless in November 2005, their debut EP, A Message Through Your Teeth, was issued in March 2006. ~ Corey Apar, All Music Guide
