What The Critics Say

Deconstructionist anti-music in the style of Arab on Radar, Black Dice, and XBXRX bursting out of the walls and making you want to pull out your own teeth. Pick this up for some quirk-ass, spazz-out, careless, whiny, over-the-edge freak-show blathering that might make you feel the urge to watch The Smurfs with a tube of toothpaste in your private areas. Or something like that. Really, the Cranium are probably the best of the bands who share their brand of insane, rule-breaking almost-noise, which has been gaining a bit of attention on the underground circuit due to a slightly growing interest in noise-related music. Perhaps the song title "Your Penis, It Is Tiny, and It Can Not Spell" will lead you in the direction of understanding what these guys are doing. Or not. If you are down with the sound that reconfigures convention while perturbing the makeup of your insides and repainting your house without asking you what color you wanted, this is what you want. ~ Blake Butler, All Music Guide
