Belgian electronica duo Sylver (formerly known as Liquid ft. Sylvie) emerged in 2000. Their debut single, called "Turn the Tide," climbed to the top of the official local club/dance chart soon after its release. Producer Regi Penxten and DJ/keyboardist Wout van Dessel (born 1974) were joined by singer Silvy De Bie (born 1981) to assemble an electronica-oriented act and join the Europop scene.
