Come June 19th, Drag City Records will be releasing Silver Jews' Early Times , an album comprised of recordings made when David Berman, Stephen Malkmus , and Bob Natasnovich were merely muppet-baby versions of themselves, young post-collegiates who were footloose and fancy-free, to say the least. On June 19 Drag City will release Early Times , a compilation album collecting a number of early recordings by the Silver Jews. Recorded by post-collegiate versions of David Berman, Stephen Malkmus, and Bob Natasnovich, the record will feature songs off the band's original 7" EP Dime Map of the Reef and 12" EP The Arizona Record in all their fuzzy, imperfect glory.
