Mexican singer/actress Sherlyn started singing at a very young age. After winning a local contest called Vamos A Jugar Cantando, she joined a children-oriented group called K.I.D.S. and recorded a self-titled album that featured "Es Mi Amigo." She later participated in a tribute album to Pope Jean Paul II titled El Pescador. K.I.D.S.' second album, En El Principio, was released by Fonovisa in 1999. A year later, the five-piece act disbanded. In addition to preparing her solo career, Sherlyn decided to concentrate on her acting work, playing roles in local soap operas. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
