Animal Collective Announce Remix EP, “Monkey Been To Burn Town”

Animal Collective have announced that they will release a new remix EP titled Monkey Been To Burn Town. Drawing from the band's most recent studio effort Centipede Hz , the four-track effort features new interpretations by Gang Gang Dance's Brian Degraw, Chicago Juke producer Traxman and New York underground dance producers Teengirl Fantasy, as well as Seattle based hip-hop collective Shabazz Palaces.

Things Learned At Mexico's Corona Capital

Last week the Quietus eloped to Mexico City for the annual Corona Capital music festival, where we wept to Suede (pictured, above), danced to New Order, tried sea urchin, feasted on tacos, sucked on Mezcal ice pop chasers, got brain freeze from frozen margaritas, watched Florence Welch and James Murphy get some festival friendly ECT, sailed along a canal with a portable mariachi disco, bought and destroyed some sugar skulls and made it through US customs intact.
