Gibson Brothers Take Bluegrass Awards' Top Prize

Last night (Sept. 27) was a memorable evening for the Gibson Brothers , who walked away with the coveted Entertainer of the Year trophy at the 23rd annual International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Awards, held at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium The group, comprised of brothers Eric and Leigh Gibson, and band members Mike Barber, Clayton Campbell and Joe Walsh, also took home the Gospel Recorded Performance of the Year trophy for their rendition of "Singing as We Rise." Del McCoury and Laurie Lewis co-hosted the gala, which included a slew of performances and also honored those who had passed away in the last year.
