In 1979, René Farrait joined Puerto Rican quintet Menudo, taking Nefty Sallabery's place, leaving it three years later and making his solo debut with the release of a Latin rock record called Viva la Radio. In 1987, René Farrait joined teen pop act Proyecto M, a decade later participating in Menudo's reunion to celebrate its 20th anniversary. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
