Radio Sweethearts' debut album New Memories is a fine slice of alternative country-rock, indebted to both Gram Parsons and Neil Young yet not slavishly replicating the sounds of their influences. The group also digs a little deeper than those founding fathers, coming up with sounds that recall old-time string bands and bluegrass.
