PainmuseuM was an American thrash/power metal band helmed by "Metal" Mike Chlasciak -- a guitarist best known for his work on Rob Halford's ‘90s and 200s-period solo albums. Originally launched in 2002, PainmuseuM's earliest manifestation saw Chlasciak working with bassist Tom Kaz and drummer Gary Sullivan on a debut album entitled The Scourge that was never officially released (although one of its tracks, "Trust, appeared on the Ball One: Strike Two compilation), before disbanding and then re-launching the group for the recording of 2004's Metal for Life LP. This boasted an impressive new lineup consisting of Chlasciak, vocalist Tim Clayborne (of Hatred), bassists Rob DeLuca (Spread Eagle) and, in a session capacity, Steve DiGiorgio (Sadus, Testament, Iced Earth, etc.) and drummer Bobby Jarzombek (Halford, Iced Earth, Riot, Demons & Wizards, etc.), but it too proved to be short-lived, as Chlasciak moved on to other projects in quick succession. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, Rovi
