Stetson professor ready to walk in Tolstoy's footsteps

A professor of Russian studies at Stetson University in DeLand is preparing for a five-day walk mimicking "War and Peace" author Leo Tolstoy's walk in 1886 from Tolstoy's house in Moscow to his ancestral estate outside Tula. Michael Denner , 40, of DeLand will be walking with Thomas Newlin, a professor at Oberlin College in Ohio and a documentarian from New Zealand. Read More
