one of my favorite musicians/voices in music, mary lou lord , recently, well last year, ran a kickstarter to help her fund the recording of a new record. luckily, it was successful and hopefully the record is coming along nicely. well, she put this up on her facebook page yesterday which was supposed to be a backer only copy of one of the songs off the upcoming record, a cover of lucinda williams' "metal firecracker." apparently, there are some stations playing it and thus she made it public. so, hopefully i dont get yelled at for posting it. definitely glad to have her back in the mix, and so looking forward to the new record.
