Another of Mark Spybey's collaborative neuro-ambient projects, this time with the ruthless Mick Harris (Scorn, Lull, Painkiller, Napalm Death), was one of the most predictably difficult, least-discordant matchups in years. The two musicians shared a common interest in over-filtered techno loops and a feedback-as-piano sound template while, quite successfully, Spybey's obsession with train effects and telephones crammed into Harris' slow, creeping, minimalist arrangement personality. With "Aeper," Bad Roads Young Drivers occasionally experimented with Wall of Noise terror orchestras, but its real strength remained in a less-mechanical, more animal drive for accessibly convoluted industrial dub. ~ Dean Carlson, All Music Guide
