Singer Lucy Mongrel is actually the impressive alter ego of popular musical artist Kate Hart. Mongrel was supposedly born in New York and just began performing in 1999. In 2000, she released her self-titled debut album. Some of the tracks from this first offering are "Thank You," "Who's Been Sleeping in My Bed," "Max the Circus Cat," "Meet in the Streets," and "Don't Call it Too Late." Mongrel works with a magnificent band consisting of guitarist Dan McInerney, bassist Alex Dore, drummer Steve Peterson, percussionist John Boucher, keyboardist Joel Bell, and background singers Susie K and Kathi McDonald. These band members have individually performed with a long list of major artists, like Madonna, the Pointer Sisters, the Kingsmen, Elton John, the Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, the Goo Goo Dolls, and many others. Between her live appearances, Lucy Mongrel went to work at the end of 2000 on a sophomore offering called Lucy, I'm Home. ~ Charlotte Dillon, Rovi
