One of those albums that comes close to being something special, but falls just short for one reason or another. In Louie Louie's case, it's the songs. They're not good dance/pop, urban contemporary, light pop, funk, New Jack, or anything else; they're just collections of cliches produced and layered to buttress vocals that aren't horrid, but aren't distinctive either.
