After issuing a compilation of greatest hits called X 16, Ratones Paranoicos decided to produce a new live record, a follow-up to Extasis Vivo, mixed at New York's Electric Lady by Andrew Oldham. Recorded live at Buenos Aires' Museum on August 19, 2000, and locally released by their own label, Tocka Discos, Vivo Paranoico includes contributions from Nicolas Cota on percussion/keyboards and ex-Los Abuelos de la Nada singer/songwriter Andres Calamaro. The 16-track record features a new version of "Rock del Pedazo" and the previously unreleased song "Para Siempre." ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
