Lisa Nicole Lopes (May 27, 1971 – April 25, 2002), better known by her stage name, Left Eye, was an American rapper, dancer, and singer-songwriter. She is best known as a member of the R&B/hip-hop group TLC. Lopes contributed her self-written raps to many of TLC's hit singles, including "Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg", "What About Your Friends", "Hat 2 da Back", "No Scrubs", "Waterfalls", and "Girl Talk". Lopes won four Grammy Awards for her work with TLC. On April 25, 2002, Lopes was killed in a car crash in La Ceiba, Honduras. She was the driver of the vehicle when she rolled off the road and was thrown out; she died from her injuries. The last month of her life was filmed from March 30, 2002 until her death on April 25, 2002, including the accident which took her life; later the footage was made into a documentary called ''The Last Days of Left Eye''.
