A dozen trailblazers turned out Saturday morning for the public's first official look at the city of Eugene's latest land acquisition: an idyllic 194-acre expanse of prairie, delicate wildflowers, oaks and firs, and rivulets about a mile northwest of Spencer Butte Park. The lot — bought in December from the Miesen family of Seattle for $2.35 million — represents the latest addition to the 1,200-acre Ridgeline Trail System. Read More
