Preview New Weeknd Song “John Carpenter”
Abel Tesfaye's new Weeknd album will be the first set of songs he's created specifically for that format — remember him in his mysterioso mixtape maestro guise, leading to his mixtape-compiling debut LP Trilogy — and he's been fairly forthcoming by telling us it's called Kiss Land. John Carpenter Wants Amy Adams To Star In His "Gothic Western" (In His Dreams)
It's been well documented how much John Carpenter loves and is influenced by classic westerns – his breakthrough feature " Assault on Precinct 13 " was an updated, urbanized version of Howard Hawks ' " Rio Bravo ;" his iconic Snake Plissken character is modeled after the western heroes John Wayne embodied; and his films often share a kind of compositional identity with early westerns with an emphasis on the kind of luxurious widescreen framing that Sergio Leone and John Ford employed.

Even though Hyetal (David Corney) is typically associated with Bristolian dubstep alongside artists like Peverelist and Baobinga and releasing on Punch Drunk, his music has always been slightly shifted away from 140bpm bass music. 2010′s "Phoenix" is an instantly recognizable tune to any one who spends time listening to bass mixes, with a shimmering, contemplative quality not unlike fellow Bristol producer Guido's Anidea album.
