A TEENAGE TA soldier from Shebbear fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan is pursuing a move to the regular Army. In less than a year Rifleman James Griffin, 19, has gone from completing a BTEC National Diploma at North Devon College to patrolling the Sangin District in Helmand Province where he is involved in everything from blowing up bridges to building new defences.
