Taipei, Dec. 25, 2009 (CENS)--The Cabinet-level Council for Economic Planning & Development (CEPD) has recently mapped out Taiwan's economic development plan for 2010 by setting the economic growth at 4.8% and jobless rate at 4.9%. CEPD officials said that the economic goals set by CEPD is based on the predictions done by the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting & Statistics (DGBAS), which forecast the economic growth to be 4.39%; yet CEPD believed that there should be room for Taiwan to draw a better economic picture nest year, so it decided to set the target higher at 4.8%.
