Ingrid Ellen Egbert Michaelson (born December 8, 1979) is a New York-based indie pop singer-songwriter. She has released five studio albums since 2005. Her music has been featured in episodes of several popular television shows, including ''The Vampire Diaries'', ''Scrubs'', ''Pretty Little Liars'', ''Body of Proof'', ''Bones'', ''Grey's Anatomy'', ''The Big C,'' ''In Plain Sight,'' and ''One Tree Hill'', as well as in Old Navy's fall 2007 Fair Isle and Opel's/Vauxhall's Meriva 2010 advertising campaigns. In February 2013 she was featured singing "Good Day Sunshine" in a Tropicana commercial entitled "Ready to Shine." She is known for being an independent artist and never signing to a major record label, despite achieving a large amount of popularity.
