Shortly after forming, Minnesota's Four Letter Lie independently put out the EP Her Escape in May 2005, hitting the road hard to spread their name throughout the melodic hardcore/screamo scenes. Comprised of vocalist Brian Nagan, guitarists/vocalists Kevin Skaff and Connor Kelly, drummer Derek Smith, and bassist John Waltmann, the band soon sold over 1,500 copies of the EP, hooking up various dates on the 2005 Warped and Taste of Chaos tours along the way. Based on an online fan vote, the guys were asked to open Taste of Chaos' St. Paul date the following year as well, and by early 2006 they were signed to Chicago powerhouse Victory Records. Four Letter Lie's label debut, Let Your Body Take Over, appeared in late October 2006. It was followed by What a Terrible Thing to Say in February 2008. ~ Corey Apar, Rovi
