Former Olathean to help blind marching band make history

Valerie Herrington-Elhodiri couldn't imagine this when she played the clarinet in the Olathe High School marching band or even the University of Kansas band.
But there she'll be Friday morning: marching in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, Calif.
