What The Critics Say

This double Cd album was recorded live as a retrospective of Fagner's highly successful (as can be observed through the frenetic applause and singing along of HER fans) career. His biggest hits are present here: "Conflito," "Jura secreta," "Noturno," "Mucuripe" (his opening song, recorded in 1971in the Livro de bolso series of the tabloid O Pasquim, also re-recorded by Elis Regina), "Canteiros" (which plagiarized Cecília Meireles' poem "Marcha," yielding a court battle with her heirs, at the end of which they made an agreement) and 17 more. Fagner is a Northeastern singer/composer, but musically he relies in romantic pop ballads in nothing related to his origins. ~ Alvaro Neder, All Music Guide
